The section Vehicle Propulsive Controls & Calibration, within the department Powertrain Controls & Calibration, works very close to the end customers and is responsible for development of control algorithms and calibration related to the engine, transmission and hybrid system regarding propulsive attributes and torque coordination. The group Propulsive Strategy & Concept currently consists of 15 people responsible for system design and requirement handling for the sections' software components as well as the function ownership for the functions Driver Driving and Manage Torque Delivery.

We are now looking for a Function Owner (FO) for the customer function Driver Driving. The function defines how the driver interacts with the vehicle from a propulsion point of view when the driver is in control. You will be part of a dynamic team working in all development phases, to make sure the function is designed, implemented and verified on time. You will also interact with colleagues not only within the group but also within the whole department and other units within R&D.

Main responsibilities

* Develop and maintain customer functionality through competitor benchmark, customer feedback and innovations
* Compile complete vehicle requirements for the function and anchor with the projects
* Create design and verification method and follow up on test results
* Initiate or set up simulations necessary to find best possible overall function
* Initiate implementation of your ideas in a vehicle and test feasibility or conduct simulations
* Functionality will be anchored in the development plan through function strategy documentation, which will be created, structured and maintained by you

Required qualifications

* University degree in engineering (Bachelor, Master or PhD)
* 3-5 years working experience within relevant field
* Good knowledge of system design and requirement handling in general
* Experience from software/function development
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Driver license (level B)

* Structured with good ability to plan daily and future work effectively
* Ability to work independent but also enjoy being a part of a development team
* Good communication skills
