Arbetsbeskrivning
Are you the new member of our team, where you will have plenty of responsibility and a lot of possibilities to influence your work?
Our section, Main Systems, is responsible for Scania's embedded chassis management system with in-house developed functions and software. We work agile in cross-functional teams, with plenty of opportunities to influence our work processes and content.
We are seeking a new team member for our group, Bodywork & Visibility Systems (ESMB). The group is responsible for developing two embedded systems and related user functions. Our area of responsibility includes, among other things, functionality for exterior lighting, a flexible interface with third-party applications, and control of the vehicle's power take-off (PTO). The group consists of people with various backgrounds and orientations in function development, programming, and testing, who are all strongly committed to the team's efficient delivery of outstanding business value.
The group is looking ahead toward several exciting challenges to ensure that Scania continues to be part of the solution for future sustainable transport systems.
Your role
In your role as function owner, you will have many cross-functional contacts with different parts of the company. You will have opportunities to be involved at multiple stages, from laying the groundwork for new functions to managing and improving existing functions and adapting them to technology trends in our industry (electrification, IoT, and autonomy). You will collaborate closely with your highly skilled colleagues in the group. Your tasks may vary between developing requirements for our user functions, developing technical solutions for our functions, and testing these functions in vehicles.
Your profile
You have experience in system development in embedded systems. You have worked with implementation, testing, function development, or similar areas and are ready to take the next step in your career. You have experience in systematic function development, and will collaborate with the team to ensure a complete delivery in each sprint. You will constantly and actively contribute to our continuous improvement within the team.
You are an M.Sc. or B.Sc. engineer or have equivalent experience. You are a driven and communicative person with an interest in developing further in your role. You should also have a sense of responsibility and be a good team player who is interested in working with agile methods. Experience in system design, system development, function development, control systems, testing, or agile methods is a plus.
