Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Are you a driven, technically minded and structured individual looking to work in systems development?

We are currently looking for a Function Owner for the Steering Actuation group within the Chassis Systems section. The group currently has System and Function Owners within Steering Actuators and Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM).

In the Chassis Systems section we have a strong focus on and responsibility for creating new functions relating to our chassis management systems in order to rise to future challenges and opportunities in the fields of electrification and autonomy, but also to further develop our existing systems and functions with the goal of increasing our short and long-term customer value.

Your role
As a Function Owner, you will drive function development, which means setting requirements, implementation and testing on the bench and in vehicles. To fully understand the product you are developing, you will need and get the opportunity to take a truck driver's license early on. This will allow you to gain a good understanding of Scania's end product and the functions you are responsible for. You will work closely with system owner and suppliers. Giving presentations within the project is also a natural part of your work. Your responsibility also includes escalating non-conformances within your line function and within the projects we deliver to.

In your work, you will build up a large network of contacts including R&D, Purchasing, Production, Aftermarket, etc. You will work closely with our suppliers and partners within TRATON, which involves exciting international contacts. It is a very varied and stimulating job that provides great opportunities for future career opportunities throughout the Group.

You will have a key role with a great opportunity to influence your group's work of continuously improving our processes and applying agile working methods.

Your profile
You have a degree or equivalent qualifications in engineering and an interest in leading, motivating and finding solutions along with your colleagues. You have good spoken and written Swedish and English. Experience of corresponding product development processes within systems development, and understanding of CAN bus and tools such as Vector CANalyzer is an advantage.

You are a driven and communicative person who is confident in yourself. You are a clear communicator, structured and like finding new solutions. You motivate your team positively, with your system in focus.

Coming to work at Scania, you'll have great opportunities to succeed in your new job, with a training package tailored to your work, helpful colleagues and an understanding and acceptance that you are new.

We look forward to receiving your application.
