Role Specifics
We are honored by the central responsibility that we have been entrusted and are thrilled by its technical challenges. As a Functional Safety Architect, you will architect and manage the Functional Safety processes to ensure that our products and tools are compliant to ASIL-B and meet the overall objectives and the ISO 26262 standard.
You work closely together with the function owner and system architects in the analysis and process development to create applicable safety processes for function, system, and software architectures.
Our teams work in an agile manner organized according to SAFe to be able to quickly adjust to changing requirements. We work with an a-state-of-the-art embedded multiprocessor environment from Nvidia including hypervisors, Linux, QNX, Rust, Robot Framework, and other modern technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage processes so that our products and tools are compliant to ASIL-B
* Perform safety analysis (Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) for system software components according to ISO 26262
* Develop, track, and maintain system design, software requirements, implementation & test traceability of technical safety requirements for system software components
* Support the definition of safety requirements and architectures together with multi-site teams to ensure the system components are developed to meet specific requirements
* Actively support internal safety audits, reviews, & assessments
* Mentor other ARTs to support them in Functional Safety issues related to the HP SW Platform on technical issues, tools, and processes as necessary
Requirements
We believe that you are a recognized functional safety expert within Automotive with the ability to set the technical direction and guide a team towards it. We would wish for you to be practical and pragmatic by nature. You are entrepreneurial in the way you can dig into technical details as well as understand the bigger picture and how you curiously approach new challenges. Being an efficient team player and communicator is critical to successfully advise and support other teams.
You have a clear ambition to create processes and targets that secure quality and prove compliance with regulations. Solid experience from the following is fundamental:
* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or in a related technical discipline is required. Master’s degree or PhD is preferred
* 8-10 years of relevant experience in the field of system safety engineering & software development
* Track record of successfully performing Functional Safety Systems Engineering tasks.
* Solid knowledge of relevant standards and methods i.e. ASPICE, ISO26262
* 5+ years of solid understanding of systems and software engineering/architecture – know how to write requirements that team members can successfully implement and test
* Experience in requirements management (System Weaver is a plus)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Meritorious:
* Automotive embedded system experience
* AUTOSAR knowledge
* Knowledge in ISO 21434
* Experience in requirements/user story development
* Experience programming in C/C++
MISRA C++ and/or other coding standards
