Process Control Platform is a unit within Process Automation that develops and delivers automation solutions from device to monitoring and control, ensuring our customers get the most out of their investment. Our digitalization solutions help improve plant and enterprise productivity, while reducing maintenance and energy costs. Deep domain knowledge enables us to truly understand and address the challenges and opportunities of Process Automation for process industries.
Our customers include e.g. oil and gas, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, nuclear power and mining industries. Several applications in these industries require safety-certified control systems. This in turn requires us to pay high attention to the safety aspect in the development of our processes and technical solutions as well as how we validate our products. Today we develop apply safety-certified control systems up to level SIL 3. The role reports to R&D Team Manager.
Your responsibilities
Supporting our safety development projects and promoting functional safety culture across the whole R&D organization
Acting as an expert and a coach guiding how the safety standards are to be applied in the daily development processes
Facilitating safety assessments, ensuring that processes and corrective actions are implemented and ensuring that appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used
Having close interaction with external certification institute that provides the company certificates for new product releases
Participating in networks to expand knowledge of the targeted area of expertise

Your background
A Bachelor or Master of Science in technically relevant field
Experience in development and certification of safety-related embedded systems from e.g. process, aerospace or automotive industry
Experience in the safety standard IEC61508, is an advantage
Structured, result-oriented, analytical and capable of working efficiently with parallel activities, does not compromise on quality
You have a positive and problem-solving attitude with a will to propose and implement solutions
Facilitator and moderator skills in leading and influencing stakeholders
Fluency in English is a must
