We are looking for Functional Safety Engineer – Vehicle Motion
An important part in the work towards our vision is to provide vehicles that are connected, autonomous, shared and electrified.

To achieve this, both the amount and the complexity of the software will increase drastically in coming vehicle architectures. NEVS strategy is to create a lot of this software in-house.

We are now looking for a Functional Safety Engineer – Vehicle Motion to work mainly with parts 3 and 4 of ISO26262. You will work in a team that has the design responsibility for the Vehicle Motion domain and act as the FuSa specialist within that team. Part of your time will also be spent on contributing to improvements in ways-of-working on our path to become ISO26262 compliant.

We will ensure that you will have opportunities to grow and take on new challenges!   

The role involves:

- Being the FuSa specialist in the cross-functional Vehicle Motion domain team
- Contributing to development of functional safety products in alignment with ISO26262 parts 3 and 4
- Supporting implementation teams with functional safety products in parts 5 and 6
- Actively participating in the system design of the domain
- Performing design analysis such as FMEA, FTA etc.
- Support and contribute to the overall vehicle safety
- Contributing to continuous improvement of ways-of-working

 We are looking for someone who has:

- Bachelor of Science or higher degree
- Deep understanding of ISO 26262 and SOTIF
- Experience of development of FuSa artefacts according to ISO26262
- Experience of development of products with functional safety requirements in the Vehicle Motion domain (steer and brake by wire and electric propulsion)
- Experience from software intense systems in the automotive industry
- Engineering experience from development of systems with functional safety requirements, minimum 5 years
- Can take a pragmatic approach to Functional Safety
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written
