What’s in it for you?
As a Functional Safety Manager, you will be a part of the “Strategy, Architecture & SW infrastructure” team and in collaboration with the internal and external teams keep our System Safety work together.
We work in close cooperation with our suppliers, internal customers, several different car projects and affiliates. We create/support advanced engineering tasks, deliver to new car projects and to current running production.
You will be collaborating with multiple stakeholders, particularly System Architects both within and outside our Department.
As team member in the Concept Office of our department, you will be encouraged to constantly develop yourself, your team-mates, continuously improve the way of working and increase cross collaboration.
Who we are
The Department Deceleration & Steering, part of the Unit Vehicle Platform.
Now looking for a committed and collaborative colleague. The Department Deceleration & Steering is responsible for the delivery of the complete friction Brake and Steering systems, including components like caliper, pedals, brake & steering nodes, brake lines, steering gear, steering column, in-house SW development, supplier SW & total SW integration & release, etc.
The ART is divided into 5 competence areas (from 16th of October):
• Strategy, Architecture & SW infrastructure
• Foundation, Pedals & Lines
• Brake Modulation
• Steering Column & In-house SW
• Steering Gear
What you’ll do
Working as a Functional Safety Manager, you will keep our System Safety deliveries together, communicate requirements, time plans and supervise the document workflow within the mechatronic system areas.
We are looking for:
• You have a University Degree or equivalent experience from the automotive industry, as well as knowledge of system design and software architecture for mechatronic systems.
• Have strong knowledge within system safety, excellent understanding of ISO 26262.
• Have a track record of software development and knowledge of automotive System Safety work.
• You are fluent in spoken and written English.
• To succeed in this role, you need to have a passion for developing structure and coach others within System Safety.
• As a person, you work with a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm
