Functional Safety Manager (FSM) - Energy Storage System @ Electromobility

The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
We now recruiting a Functional safety manager (FSM) for the ESS Functions and BMS Group at ESS

Responsibilities / Main tasks
We are currently in need of expansion within Energy Storage Systems (ESS) with a Functional safety manager (FSM).
You will be part of building up the competence around Function Safety and ISO-26262 in Energy Storage System. Your role will be to make sure that the actions and activities for ISO-26262-compliance of Energy Storage System is fulfilled according to expected technical maturity level. You will be responsible for coordinating and aligning the functional safety work with internal and external stakeholders. You will work with Functional Safety Engineers and assist them in their activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Support, coordinate and define the functional safety deliverables for all of the development phases and product lifecycles within Energy Storage Systems and Electromobility.
Create and maintain Safety Test Plans, and Safety Plans according to ISO26262.
Coordinate and support functional safety engineers (and other stakeholders) with their internal and external activities and deliverables such as Hazard analysis, Functional safety concept, technical safety concept, fault tree analysis, hardware software interface, Safety Cases, FMEA etc.
Ensure the processes, tools and commitments cross-organization for the functional safety work to progress efficiently is identified and aligned.
Drive and be part of assessments and reviews of ISO-26262 deliverables.
Report and participate in line and project/product meetings in order to ensure functional safety work is progressing efficiently and in a synchronized manner.
Participate and drive supplier-related meetings and strategies for achieving the goals when needed.
Who are you?
We believe that to be successful in this position, you are a pragmatic team player that loves to develop System designs with the customer in focus. Since the area is in an early phase, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment. Broad experience of control system and function development in highly complex systems is required. You should be familiar with Volvo Group or similar development processes You have a broad knowledge and experience of both Electrical and SW development and are used to express yourself within requirement specifications/ user stories. In order to do this we believe you have:
Experience:
6+ years of experience from embedded software development design & development.
6+ years of experience from system design & development within Electrical Propulsion System.
4+ years documented experience of ISO-26262 / Functional safety work within automotive products and applications.
Experience from working as FSM or FSE.
4+ years’ experience from Energy Storage Systems development.
Familiar with Volvo Group processes and tools

Knowledge in development according to safety Standards such as ISO12100, ISO13849, ISO17757, ISO26262, SOTIF or equivalent
Theoretical knowledge / education:
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Mechatronics
Good understanding of how BP building blocks and system attributes influence Energy Storage Systems performance.
