Functional System Owner – Ariba Downstream


The IDM&S Value Realization Team is supporting +25 countries to secure users get the maximum out of the Ariba downstream tool. Ariba is an eProcurement platform like Amazon within the company for B2B, even if Ariba offers much more functionality. The Ariba system enables our digitalization journey within purchasing by standardizing our processes and way of working.

In this role you will be part of the Purchasing Business Transformation Team, working closely with Ariba Value Realization Team to secure SKF stays at the forefront of the tool by sharing best practices, releasing new functionalities and supporting the countries to get the most value out of the platform.

The Functional System Owner will also work in close cooperation with the SKF IT department and SAP/Ariba to release the full Ariba potential within SKF.

Key responsibilities
As the Ariba Functional System Owner you will be the expert on the Ariba downstream functionality, its related business processes and belong to the Purchasing Business Transformation Team. You will act as subject matter expert for the Ariba downstream platform and lead the system development by bridging business needs and IT requirements. Furthermore, you will:
• Be the purchasing process expert and secure that the functionality of the system supports the business processes in a smooth, user friendly and cost-efficient way
• Build external networks with SAP/Ariba and other large companies to benchmark and collect best practices
• Collect and prioritize all IT enhancement requests for the system as well as plan and execute user acceptance testing together with the IT System Owner
• Ensure the process solution delivers planned business value and is fit for purpose
• Secure that training material is developed according to system functionality and business needs
• System performance securing and process monitoring
• Approve and annually review all access rights

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or equivalent working experience
• Ariba downstream and purchasing process knowledge
• Business and outside in perspective
• Able to translate business demands into IT solutions
• Passionate about automatization and digitalization
• Knowledge of sourcing and purchasing processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Additional information for you
This position will be located in one of SKF’s major sites.

You will report to Peter R Johansson, Strategy and Business Transformation Manager, who is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
