DESCRIPTION: Middle School Modern Language French Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal, Vice Principal, and Subject Area Coordinator
Starting April 14


The Modern Language Teacher is responsible and qualified to:
Plan and teach all grade 6-9 Modern Language education in their designated language 
Contribute to implementation of the Modern Language and IMYC curriculum.
Ensure a safe learning environment for students.
Contribute to some administrative duties within the Modern Language Department.
Contribute to some preparational duties within IMYC.
Be an active and contributing member of the School’s faculty.
Participate in the full range of professional activities in the school.
Actively contribute to the operational needs of the school.
Actively contribute to assessment rubric development



Qualifications, Attributes and Experience the Middle School Modern Language  Teacher is expected to have:
Certified teaching credentials.
Experience teaching language acquisition skills.
Fluency in French
Proficiency in English.
Experience with working with students or groups.
Experience in leadership and organisational roles. 
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to establish rapport with adults and students.
The ability to work effectively in a team.
The ability to show initiative and work independently.



Experience working with students from diverse cultures and countries would be an advantage.
