Futuraskolan International Stockholm – English Teacher åk 4-6

We are looking for a Qualified English Teacher who will teach in English for grades 4-6 preferably with experience but if you are a new graduate you are welcome with your application anyway! The service is holiday service, full-time 100% with start date August 2019.

WORKING DATA
You will work as an English teacher. We are looking for someone who is a positive, innovative educator who has the ability to get students motivated and committed! You should be able to cooperate but still work independently. You should be able to plan lessons according to the national goals and evaluate and improve according to the needs of the student group. Your duties will involve support for students in class, teaching in smaller groups or individually. It also includes working with compensatory tools, supervising pedagogues, analyzing difficulties in learning environments, writing pedagogical assessments, participation in establishing action programs, and mapping of reading and writing difficulties.

The teacher has responsibility for building the competence of the year groups and become a language leader within the lower grades. We believe by being fluent in English and possibly your mother tongue is in English, you as a teacher can provide our students with the foundation they need to enter the upper grades curriculum. Teachers at the school work closely with each other in both teams and groups of subject matter and support one another in curriculum development and strategic pedagogic progressiveness. We work actively with the quality of work for satisfied students and parents.

Futuraskolan International Stockholm School is a two-language F-9 school with an international focus. We have very committed employees and positive and curious students who are offered a nice and creative learning environment. We follow the Swedish curriculum Lgr 11 and at the same time work thematically on the basis of IPC and IMYC, the International Primary and International Middle School Curriculum a theme-based approach that permeates all subjects.

QUALIFICATIONS (Expertise and experience)
We are looking for you as a qualified / licensed teacher. The service requires commitment, responsibility and the ability to plan. It is important that you as a person are clear, responsive and show respect for the students' needs. Of course you are passionate about students' development and learning. You have the digital skills required for documentation and communication in the assignment and use digital tools as a natural part of your teaching. You have easy access to relationships with both students, parents and colleagues.
You are well grounded in the school's governance documents and participate actively in the pedagogical development work and the collegial learning processes and create the conditions for each child's learning and development. You are safe and contribute to innovation and creativity in your work together with the rest of your team. Through a conscious approach, you create security, trust and good relations.
