We are now hiring several newly graduated individuals who will learn and grow in our purchasing organization, Volvo Group Purchasing. The opportunity
The position will start with a three month’s training program, where you get to know us at Volvo Group Purchasing and we get to know you. You will have the opportunity for “on-the-job” rotations and experience working on real project assignments. In addition, you will join learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in training and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group. As Associate Data Analyst in Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization at Volvo Group you will learn to independently drive your own business through a portfolio of suppliers and negotiate great results, while maintaining excellent supplier relations.
Your profile
Your curiosity in the purchasing area and interest in trying new things is the great foundation for succeeding in this role, alongside these key criteria’s:
Strong quantitative and analytical skills: strong foundation in data analysis and ability to work with large datasets to draw insights and identify trends. Experience with statistical analysis and programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
Interest in purchasing processes: interest in learning about the purchasing process and willingness to collaborate with stakeholders in the purchasing department to identify key data points to track and analyze (business need to technical implementation)
Strong communication skills: possess strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data analysis in clear and concise language to non-technical stakeholders via visual formats such as graphs, charts, and dashboards (especially using PowerBI)
Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail is essential, in order to spot trends and outliers in data to perform validation and verification for accuracy.
Creativity and innovative thinking reframing traditional patterns of thinking and applying new and evolving ideas, methods, designs and technologies. Work collaboratively and be open to feedback is a must.
