As the Galvanizing Expert (Consultant), you will work side by side with other areas of our organization to support the commission, start-up and ramp-up, and safeguarding of operations. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring, providing training and learnings to our teams, imparting your invaluable industry knowledge and experience to overcome challenges faced in specific areas of operations.

The scope will cover safety compliance, technical skills, leadership development, and cultural integration; providing continuous guidance on real-time decisions and projects while encouraging reflective learning with an emphasis on fact-based decision-making. You will have proven experience of building from scratch, and your role would involve overseeing and managing the operations of the galvanizing area, utilising your senior competency and extensive knowledge, as the internal specialist within your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead in-depth technical sessions, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring within your area of expertise.
· Identify and recommend areas of improvement within the galvanizing operations, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
· Transfer industry-leading knowledge, best practices, and innovative techniques to the team to enhance both individual and collective capabilities.
· Ensure that the galvanizing processes adhere to the highest quality standards and that the final products meet customer expectations.
· Provide guidance on troubleshooting common challenges faced during galvanizing operations and help resolve technical issues.
· Support the creation and refinement of training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation to ensure knowledge transfer is captured for future reference.
· Work closely with management to align the goals with the company’s long-term objectives for galvanizing excellence.
· Build, establish and develop a robust safety culture across the organization. Take responsibility to contribute to a safe work environment actively participating in the development and upkeep of process control and safety practices.
· Lead the organization in achieving goals and objectives and monitor progress toward achieving them.
· Ensure the organization's compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
· Lead the department`s development of working methods, investment plan and continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:
· Extensive experience in galvanizing processes within the steel manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of implementing best practices.
· Relevant degree in engineering or relevant industry experience.
· Previous experience in mentoring or training employees in a technical or industrial environment is preferred.
· Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively transfer knowledge and foster a collaborative learning environment.
· Experience in process, production or maintenance. Demonstrated leadership experience in industrial manufacturing organizations.
· Extensive experience in start-ups and galvanized, ZnMg, continuous annealing.
· Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and automation mill systems.
· Experience in supporting of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 etc.
· Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and advancement
· Ability to work in a high profile and often pressured international environment.
· Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus.
