We're looking for an experienced Game Designer to join our crew and help design our player progression and economy systems from the ground up for our new AAA competitive shooter.
You will work together with a team that established both the inner parts of the Battlefield series and the whole Battlefront franchise between DICE and Disney, resulting in the most successful Star Wars game ever made.
With your minimum of 3+ years in the games industry, you have successfully launched at least one game and have professional experience in designing features and systems for player engagement.
Together with our Chief Creative, you will design for retention, extract the right data and design and execute clever improvements to make player engagement steadily improve. You thrive on growing the KPIs on a monthly basis and put the player and their experience right down center of everything you do. You know of, and respect, the intricacies of a brilliant UX that is needed to deliver and communicate your designs within the game meta, player progression and longevity.
Build and design meaningful meta-game and progression systems for a PVP multiplayer FPS
Research and use game telemetry to make data-informed decisions when designing for player retention
Create balanced and sustainable quantitative game systems to create the best player experience
Work closely with our Chief Creative and business management to set up and keep track of necessary KPIs to achieve intended results
Hands on implementation of design features, with support from our design team
What we'd like to see:
Professional work experience designing immersive and well balanced systems for game economy and player progression
Experience working with game telemetry data
High proficiency using Excel, or similar quantitative design tool
Experience working closely with UI/UX designers to implement appealing UI systems
Bonus skills
Free-to-Play: Ideally, a significant part of the above experience you have from engagement designing and/or product managing within the Free to Play games
Unreal Experience: Also desirable, but not critical, is any hands-on experience with Unreal engine
Knowledgeable in UI/UX Design
