Gauge/Embedded Software Engineer

[ The Rosemount TankRadarABdivision of Emerson Process Management is a leading provider of radar-based level and tank gauging solutions for the marine, oil & gas and process industry markets.[ Founded in 1976, the company has a turnover of over 1 billion kr and employs over 400 people worldwide.[ To support rapid growth and expansion into new areas, we are adding a number of new positions in R&D, purchasing, service and other areas.[ The company is owned by Emerson (NYSE:EMR), an American corporation with over 128,000 employees and USD 20 Billion in sales.[ The R&D department is looking for a gifted and an experienced embedded software engineer who will work with our innovative team to develop real-time software for different types of micro controllers and DSPs that are part of a radar based level gauging system.Our software solutions are used for signal processing, logic functions, communications protocols and hardware drivers.We have a very innovative environment and are involved in all phases of the development cycle from specifications to test.To apply for this position you need to be an engineer with an M.Sc.degree in electronics, computer science or physics.You are a skilled C programmer with a passion for product development and microwave technology (radar, cell phone, etc).You have previous experience from the following areas: - software development and maintenance, from specifications to design and test - embedded real time systems - object oriented programming - communications (field bus modems etc) - signal processing You are used to and enjoy working in a team environment but still possess individual qualities such as enterprise, power of initiatives and creativity.You have an excellent analytical proficiency and strong problem solving skills.You are motivated by working under the pressure of tight deadlines and adjust quickly to changing circumstances.You have excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Swedish and English.You need a driver's license.The position is located in Linköping.[ Please apply by using the apply button or the link below, no later than May 20th.
