The mission for the role
As a Gear Designer you will be working with various technologies and with all design stages towards marine propulsion system and electromobility systems. You will also have daily contact with internal and external colleagues within purchase, production, testing and the other design departments.
Your main responsibility will be:
Design and calculation of cylindrical and spiral bevel gears, transmission parts etc.
Prototype preparation and test planning.
Functional and fatigue tests of transmissions.
Technical sub project leader for transmission components.
Attend as specialist in internal & external fora’s and networks.

Required knowledge and experience:
Experience of gear design
Your CV should contain listed qualifications in minimum a Bachelor degree with preferably a couple of years of professional experience
As we are a global team communication and networking skills are highly valued
2D and 3D CAD
It is also beneficial if you…
you are proficient in ROMAX & Klingelnberg / KIMOS / Komet
have knowledge of Gleason Cage and G-age
have experience working in Creo

The transmission department within Product development is responsible for the development and design of propulsions systems for marine applications and electromobility systems. We are located in Gothenburg and Köping and have a sister department in Chesapeake US. Manufacturing sites are in Sweden and US. Today, the team in Köping consist of 9 people working in different roles such as technicians, test engineers and designers. The group is organized to have a holistic view of our products. We are taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle of the products – from new development projects via product maintenance to quality issues and feedback from the market.
For the individual there is a great opportunity for growing the responsibilities and tasks!
