LEAX Mekaniska is searching for a Gear Production Engineer
We offer an existing work environment within a growing international corporation of companies that manufacture gearbox components on a contract basis, primarily for heavy trucks. The work is based in Köping, but there is the possibility of working at other LEAX sites if desired. We are continually investing in our Köping plan with strong focus on advance gear manufacturing. LEAX Gear R&D are based in Köping as well as recent investments in a Gear tool grinding department and a Gear prototype department.


We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in production engineering in the field of Gear machining. Production of gears and transmission components from blanks to finished product, including soft machining, heat treatment and hard machining as well as quality verification is the core of LEAX business in Köping. We place great importance on practical experience in machining operations. Experience of work in projects and starting up new production flows is meriting.
The tasks involve technical planning, process optimizations, cycle time calculations, clamping techniques, tooling, machine programming, measurement methods, and instructions. Machining processes in focus will be hobbing, shaping, power skiving, gear grinding and gear honing.
The implementation of new articles is carried out in project form, where you will be involved from drawing to finished product. Task will also include the machine investment process with pre-study, technical requirements, acceptance tests and production start-up.
Systematic improvement work is an important part of the job. CAD system Solid Edge is used for creating instructions and drawings.
