We are currently hiring a General Counsel to join our headquarters in Uppsala, Sweden.
Viedoc has a game-changing eClinical suite that is designed to accelerate clinical trials and advance the development of drugs and medical devices by offering the latest in technology to streamline the electronic data capture process. Year by year, Viedoc evolves with a set goal to significantly reduce the time it takes to evaluate clinical research, leading to new treatments and cures becoming available to patients faster.
Job description
You will have a key role in an international organization that service life science companies and research institutions.
In your role as our General Counsel, you will:
Support us building a structure and procedures for streamlining commercial contracts with customers in a business-minded way
Be responsible for our legal document templates
Review and negotiate customer contracts
Take an active part in our business development
Support us in forming and reviewing vendor contracts and partner contracts
Take an active part in setting up new offices
Contracting and managing local lawyers
To some minor extent, the work could also include supporting us in working laws, disputes, compliance, debt collection, and acquisitions.
You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. With customers spread all around the world (mainly Asia, Europe, and North America), this will not be a role without challenges.
Who you are
You have a law degree with a minimum of five years of experience in qualified legal work at a law firm or international company, as well as experience in writing and negotiating commercial agreements. We assume that your knowledge in English is excellent in speech and in writing. Knowledge in information technology laws and professional international experience will be an advantage for this role. You are also business minded.
