This journey will take place in Jönköping at DFDS new warehouse in Stigamo that will be fully operational in February 2023. The role involves the overall responsibility for all operations at the warehouse, including customer relations. You will also be a key player to establish our new organization in Jönköping and of course be fully responsible for financial targets.
About the role
As General Manager, you are responsible for all operations at the terminal.
You will among others have the following key responsibilities:
- Develop the business both commercially and in terms of internal processes
- Set up, implement and follow up on targets for the business
- Budget, prognosis and follow-up work in consultation with the MD
- Ensure that costs and revenues are being in line with the budgeted targets and notify deviations
- Support and coach employees
Who we think you are
As a person you handle multiple social situations and relationships with various people with self-confidence. You are also a person who has great focus and energy on achieving desired targets. You have the ability to communicate easily and efficiently, both internally and externally. You act from a holistic perspective with customers, financials, and organization in focus. Finally, you are a person who are able to act calm and focused in unexpected situations.
We believe you have experience from a similar position or other solid experience within the logistics industry.
Requirements
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Drivers license
- Degree in engineering/economics or equivalent experience
- Managerial experience, preferably from the logistics industry
