GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain is part of the General Motors Corporation and responsible for all Purchasing activities of General Motors worldwide.In the European Purchasing organization there are approximately 750 employees operating in 16 countries. General Motors is looking for Purchasing Program Manager to Trollhättan (Ref nr 294/1845) As a Purchasing Program Manager you promote the relationship between GPSC/Global Vehicle Development Planning.Your role is to successfully manage and ensure completion of all Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Supply Chain Deliverables in the vehicle development process as well as during the production launch.Work is of a difficult nature involving a considerable amount of perception, initiative and a high level of independent judgment.Responsibilities Coordinates and directs the activities related to specific programs in the global purchasing organization; Develop and manage purchasing related program timing, e.g.timing for sourcing and tool kick off Is the internal Purchasing interface for all issues related to the specific programs and launches You are a competent, independent and self motivated person with solid experience from project work.High levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output.You have analytical skills and well-developed oral and written communication skill in English.You have a degree in Economics and have technical experience, or you have a degree in Engineering (e.g.Industrial Engineering).You have experience in applying common software applications, such as MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. 294/1845.
