Our Exciting Opportunity
At Ericsson, we are committed to providing code that never sleeps; enabling automated life cycle management of Ericsson’s Packet Core Network products. With the move to 5G, the Packet Core Network is re-designed using cloud-native network functions and container-based software, based on Kubernetes. In order to reach our automation goals, we are looking for a General System Manager (GSM) to join the SWDP/Continuous Delivery and Deployment Program (PC CDD).
As a GSM, your main tasks are (1) to provide the program's Product Owners (xPOs) with technical mentorship in their business decisions, and (2) to support the Team System Managers and Cross-Functional Teams with guidance in their feature development.
You will also be part of Packet Core’s E2E automation studies, ensuring that future solutions take automated life cycle management into consideration.

You will
Contribute to the CDD evolvement plan and roadmap.
Ensure that the system requirements exist and are accurate.
Support the Technical System Areas, as well as the product, with technical competence to secure a technically viable life cycle management view.
Maintain ownership of Product Artifacts (e.g. Requirement Specification and Statement of Compliance).
Maintain ownership of Program Artifacts (e.g. Feature Study and Anatomy Plan from a feature perspective).
Be active during the entire product lifecycle.


To be successful in the role you must have
A curiosity about doing more than “good enough” and a drive to constantly improve.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Proficiency in English.
Experience with writing and communicating requirements.
Experience with software development.
Domain experience in Packet Core
