Tasks
Exploration activities for base metals to be carried out in Bergslagen, Central Sweden. Responsibilities are focused on the design, execution, and reporting of exploration work programs. Daily work tasks include legacy data compilation, new target generation, geochemical sampling, bedrock mapping, drill planning/coordinating and core logging, data interpretation, geological modelling, and report writing. You will commonly be a part of projects in cooperation with other exploration and mining specialists, both inside and outside of Boliden, including other geologists, field technicians, geophysicists, resource modelers, engineers, and permitting and environmental personnel.
This a permanent full-time position. The position is based out of Garpenberg office.
Education and Experience
We are looking for a person with a completed university degree in geosciences of Masters level or higher and greater than 2 years’ experience in mineral exploration and/or mining. Previous experience in the exploration of base metals is of merit. You should be self-managing, service oriented, creative, and have the ability to cooperate with others. The work requires that you can write technical reports in English. Fluency in Swedish or a willingness to learn is desired. Driving licence for car is required.
