About the company
Avannaa Exploration Services AB is a young and expanding company based in Kiruna. We are mineral exploration consultancy specializing in geological and geotechnical data collection and interpretation operating in Northern Sweden.
We are now looking to recruit new members to our skilled and dedicated team of geologists.
Main duties will include:
● Geotechnical core logging
● Geological core logging
● Project progress and technical reporting
● Client meetings
Experience requirements
Those who apply should be flexible and service-oriented, have a good ability to collaborate and enjoy working in a multicultural team. It is also important that you are driven and take your own initiative to improve and streamline the tasks at hand.
Previous experience with core logging is not mandatory, but will be viewed favorably. Experience of geological mapping is also an advantage. Driving license is mandatory.
Education and qualifications
The candidate must have a BSc or MSc degree in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering.
The ability to communicate in English in both speaking and writing is mandatory, knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
Location
The work will be predominantly undertaken at our client´s drill core facilities in Kiruna or Gällivare.

1 year Time-limited contract with potential for a permanent position
Salary: Monthly
Remuneration: Individual wage based on education and experience
Workdays: Monday-Friday regular office hours with occasional overtime dependent upon project requirements.
