Geometric Measurement Technician

Your role

The work is part of SAAB Kockum's commitment to improving its geometry process and thereby improving both the efficiency of production and the quality of all products. The work is carried out cross-functionally, in close cooperation with neighboring functions such as design, preparation, technology and production. We offer a varied role in that you will work both with preparation and implementation. With us at Kockums, you will get to work with assuring everything fit in its context!


The main tasks are:

* Perform preparation of measuring operations and reports.
* Perform advanced measurements using CMM, 3D scanning, total station, measuring arm etc.
* Convene and run teams for the purpose of establishing geometric control plans.
* Develop specification of suitable measurement methods/equipment (based on control plans).
* To support procurement of new measuring equipment.



Your profile

Are you allured by the idea of translating theory and drawings into a practical reality? Good!
We are looking for you with a strong interest in becoming the one taking lead within the geometrical area. To be successful in this role you need sense of quality and successful experience in geometric assurance. You also need to have a strong drive, an innovative approach and an personal interest in a continous learning. The role include many and varied contacts within the company, why great communication skills are needed as well as the ability to compromise.


Required skills:

* Expirence in geometrical tolerances & experience in geometric assurance.
* Knowledge in CMM, measuring arms and/or other advanced equipment.
* University Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in geometry measurements
* Good communication skills in Swedish as well as English, verbal and written.
* Good knowledge in Excel, Word etc.


Desired skills:

* Expirence in 3D models such as Creo, AutoCad etc.
* Experience in preparation of geometry measurements
* Experience from larger industrial companies
* Experience from developing and shaping processes and ways of work within the field.
* Driving license, B



This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
