Geophysical consultant

MG Sustainable Engineering AB is a young dynamic start-up company based in Uppsala. It has strategic partnerships with the Universities of Gävle, Uppsala, and Lund, as well as Absolicon Solar Collector AB in Härnösand, Lumicum Foundation, and a few other companies and institutions across the EU.
MG was launched in 2014 as a company specializing in Renewable Energy, specifically solar energy. In 2020, MG started its first major project, RES4Build (www.res4build.eu), in which renewable solutions for buildings in the EU are studied. RES4Build is a H2020 project. MG has also received funding for a large project called RES4Live (www.res4live.eu). This project is also a H2020 project, in this case, an Innovation Action (IA). MG is one of 18 participants deploying emerging renewable energy solutions for livestock farms in the EU. Overall, MG has vast experience managing various projects from different funding sources.
Job Description:
· The candidate needs to be organized and able to support MG´s participation in large and complex projects with many participants and different interests at stake.
· Handle geophysical seismic data processing for clients and projects.
· Organize and research different funding opportunities for the company.
· Support the team with ongoing projects activities.
· Participate and provide support in writing grant applications for geophysics projects and other engineering projects with the goal of successfully increasing the funding base.
Job requirements:
1. Experience in coding languages such as Python and Matlab.
2. At least 10 years of experience working on seismic data acquisition and processing.
3. Expert in using industry-standard seismic data processing software, especially Claritas.
4. Hold a Ph.D. degree in applied geophysics.
5. Experience in participating in EU H2020 projects.
6. Experience in Linux operating system.
7. Experience working with a team and project coordination is highly valued.
8. English will be the working language of the project. Spanish and Portuguese are a plus.
