Global Agency & Media Operations - let’s introduce ourselves
Our team sits in the central marketing team together with Media Execution, Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Strategy & Planning. This is where we set marketing strategies, plan our campaigns, deploy media centrally, analyze and evaluate marketing activities, and much more.
Agency & Media Operations puts in place the agency, technology, and media owner infrastructure for the wider team to succeed and leads transformational projects in media & marketing.
Ad-tech Lead – this is what you’ll do
Volvo Cars is on a journey to shift its business online and direct to consumers. In that transition, this team and this role will play an integral part. This transformation will require increased alignment and more methodical ways of working with media and of course ad-tech. The Ad-tech Lead will need to join forces with various teams to ensure that we use advertising technology in the best way possible globally.
In the role as Ad-tech Lead you will be responsible for our entire ad-tech infrastructure, own and manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) as well as the agency resources that support us with it. You will coordinate with markets on GTM and tracking, build a transparent and accountable programmatic supply chain, secure a smoothly running GA (Google Analytics) solution, and collaborate with our Media Execution team on testing tools, features, and platform rollouts. This role will be vital in the acquisition of new tools and technology and you’ll cooperate with our Legal team on questions about privacy and compliance. The scalable and efficient ad-tech strategy we require to succeed will be set by you.
We’re looking for you!
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate professional experience from working with Ad-tech. Ideally, a minimum of 4-5 years’ proven experience working for an agency or in-house with the same/similar type of responsibilities.
The person we’re looking for has a good understanding of media platforms, deep knowledge of tracking solutions & GTM, and extensive background in setting up and maintaining Google Analytics implementations. You have an interest in legal aspects of tracking & media (privacy, consent, GDPR, etc.) and are curious about new technology solutions. In past roles, you’ve worked with ad verification and brand safety tools.
With a good overall business sense, you see the bigger picture and connect the dots. You have a highly ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset, and you thrive in cross-functional/interdisciplinary teams. Like the rest of our team, you are a team player with great communication skills and a positive can-do attitude. In your work, you are independent and creative as well as efficient and smart.
Fluent English is required, any additional languages are bonuses.
Qualifications:
• 4-5 years’ proven experience working in a role with the same/similar type of responsibilities
• Deep technical knowledge of and hands-on experience in GTM (Google Tag Manager) and other tracking solutions (both client and server-side). Java capability is meritorious
• Good understanding of media platforms (Google Ads, Meta, DV360, etc.) and the programmatic supply chain (DSP/SSP/Ad Exchanges).
• Knowledgeable about ad formats, campaign types, platform integrations, and how you can use technology in scalable and efficient ways
• Experience in setting up and maintaining Google Analytics implementations via GTM
• Understanding and interest in privacy policy, cookie consent, compliance, and legislation.
• Worked with Cookie Management Platforms like OneTrust and/or similar solutions
