Local Unit & Position Description
We are looking for a Global Aquaculture Manager to join our Business Assurance team.
The main goal of this newly-created role is to contribute to growing the Aquaculture assurance offer in accordance with certification schemes such as ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council), GlobalG.A.P. Aquaculture, FoS (Friends of the Sea) Aqua, GSA (Global Seafood Alliance). In addition, to support/facilitate increased collaboration between countries, with increased efficiency as a goal, and work towards optimization of the process from planning of audits to delivery of certificates. Project Management capability would be a particular advantage.
Main tasks will include:
Providing commercial and technical sales support to local sales units
Defining new service offers and developing business plans
Developing processes and procedures for service delivery
Representation of DNV Aquaculture in delivering technical and commercial communication
Departmental budget management
Planning and delivery of assessment activity
Meeting scheme owner KPIs
Defining service level agreements and monitoring internal performance
Support of global key customers, in conjunction with Key Customer Managers
Aligning with technical review and certification decision activity
Attendance at industry meetings and conferences and providing feedback to the team
Providing support to technical functions regarding scheme owners and accreditation body relationships
Preparation of technical guidelines/instructions in collaboration with technical team
Supporting local units in recruitment and training of new auditors (employed and sub-contracted)
Providing support to existing auditors
Conducting witness assessments, if required
Potential line management responsibility as the role grows
Position Qualifications
Minimum degree level education in an Aquaculture or Fisheries-related subject
Approximately ten years’ experience in the aquaculture sector
Ideally current auditor approval for aquaculture schemes
Fluency in English
Experience in third party certification
