We are looking for a new member to join our team for the position as Global Battery Certification Expert.
You will be given a unique opportunity to shape and drive the early development of Volvo Energy together with the leadership team and a set of skilled and committed colleagues. Together we will work on solutions that will drive economically viable circularity and take us to a sustainable future. You will make a difference
We now need to strengthen our team with your certification expertise. Your starting point will be to optimize the batteries during the complete life cycle from a sustainability perspective. Second life batteries solutions and customer demand of energy is a perfect match which we want to develop even further. You will together with partners, develop a product range which fulfils the safety and regulatory requirements. To be truly successful at this, we need to certify products in relevant markets and this is where we embrace your expertise.
Your responsibility in this role will be that we fulfill all applicable safety and regulatory requirements with our 2nd life product range. In the beginning you will focus on the European and North American market and their regulatory system. You need to keep yourself informed with the latest legislation and transform that into requirements and feed that back to R&D or partners, as well as take an active role in the certification process.
The location for the position is flexible and will be in Gothenburg, Sweden, or in Bangalore, India.

Qualifications likely required to be successful
Master’s Degree or other equivalent background within engineering.
Working experience from homologation with Li-ion batteries in US and Europe, identifies the regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience from generates intended means of compliance, project certification basis, safety assessments, and relevant regulatory materials.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
