Global Battery Product Owner - Volvo Energy

Arbetsbeskrivning

With new technologies and business models increasing in importance at high speed, the transportation and infrastructure industries are changing more and at higher pace than ever before. As the Volvo Group, we are accelerating to drive our industry forward also in these important areas. Do you want to join our journey and shape tomorrow’s society together with us?

Working at Volvo Energy, you are here to make a fundamental break through and propel electrification, from development of charging and infrastructure solutions to monitor and optimize, refurbish/remanufacture, reuse/repurpose and recycle state-of-the-art batteries that power our Volvo Group products. Joining us means working in a global context with people from diverse backgrounds and different nationalities while contributing to the core business and results of Volvo Group. We are goal oriented and business focused people who believe that the best results are achieved while having fun and when we challenge each other. Sustainability and diversity in our DNA, since Volvo Energy was created in April 2021. The story continues here.

We are looking for a new member to join our team for the position as Global Battery Product Owner.

You will be given a unique opportunity to shape and drive the early development of Volvo Energy together with the leadership team and a set of skilled and committed colleagues. Together we will work on solutions that will drive economically viable circularity and take us to a sustainable future. With high speed and agility, we will support the Volvo Group to meet and exceed customers’ expectations and thereby contribute to a society that we all want to live in.

You will make a difference

To succeed on our journey, we now need to strengthen the team with world class 2nd life product owner expertise. Your starting point will be to optimize the batteries during the complete life cycle from a sustainability perspective. A crucial part of our strategy is to utilize the batteries for second life to contribute to the circular sustainability model we want to be a part of. You will create and execute our second life product strategy together with your colleagues from business development and R&D.

The location for the position is flexible and will be in Gothenburg, Sweden, or in Bangalore, India.

How you will create success for yourself and Volvo Energy

We believe you are an experienced technical leader that will thrive in developing the commercial transformation of our products. With your strong business acumen, you will contribute to create the roadmap and footprint for our circular model of sustainability through the second life battery. Your strong networking, communication, facilitation and people skills will also be of great benefit to succeed in this role.

You welcome this chance to work in a smart and modern way, where we together are the catalysts to make our desired future happen. As our business area is new, you need to share our curiosity for new technologies, tools and ways-of-working and constantly want to take it to the next level. At the same time, you realize that breaking new ground also means mistakes will happen and nothing will be perfect. These are not frustrations but instead learning opportunities for you. You see the journey itself as the destination and whilst you are highly successful in your current position, you feel a strong desire to move further – you want to move from success to significance.

We can promise you great colleagues and some truly exciting opportunities. You will work in a global environment that is purpose-driven and value-based and that truly values diversity and inclusiveness. We will provide you with developmental prospects both professionally and personally. If our entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability and customer-focused mindset light your inner fire, we might be a great match!
