Global Business Controller, Global Bus Purchasing - Volvo Buses
In Volvo Buses we have a purpose to make a difference, being pioneers of sustainable transport
solutions of the future. GBP (Global Bus Purchasing) is a Global function that consist of approx. 120 employees in four countries (Canada, Poland, Mexico, and Sweden). We have the responsibility to source suppliers that delivers material at the right cost, quality and technology, at the right time to the entire Volvo Buses organization. We work X-functionally as well as together with GTP (Global Trucks Purchasing).
Do you want to play an important role in our continuous journey? We are now looking for our next talented Global Business Controller to be a part of the Finance team within GBP. We offer an interesting and challenging position in a global and high-paced environment with possibilities to broaden competencies/skills.
Position Description
As our Global Business Controller you will daily cooperate with a large network of automotive purchasing and finance professionals from Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Poland and Sweden.
You will be responsible for:
the analysis, reporting and forecasting of our performance in purchasing price management (material cost levels and price variances)
the improvement of our processes and the descriptions of our performance indicators
the analysis of our supplier database, contracts, purchasing portfolios
the training of our buyers and purchasing managers on the use of our tools for forecasting and analyzing the performance
You will also contribute in supporting with ad hoc investigations, business cases or projects.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role you need excellent analytical skills and a business mind-set in combination with a genuine interest in finance and figures. You are curious and agile and have the ability to think outside the box. Excellent communication and networking skills as well as fluency in English are a must. We are in search of a structured and self-motivated team-player with the ability to meet stringent deadlines. You have a solid educational background in Finance/Business Administration. Skills in using and programming both Excel and PowerBI will be strong assets as well as good knowledge in PowerPoint. It is a merit if you have experience from working in or close within the purchasing area.
