The job

HemoCue develops, produces and markets easy to use diagnostic systems for the Professional Point of Care markets. We are global market leaders in hemoglobin testing and hold strong positions in other product segments. As part of our portfolio HemoCue markets Data Management products and Connectivity software solutions. We expect the importance and impact of such solutions to grow rapidly in both developed and emerging markets. It will affect the product portfolio agenda, our business models as well as organizational needs at the head office and in our local sales organizations. We are now looking for the right candidate to coordinate and drive this development for HemoCue. 

The main tasks include

* Drive global revenue and profit for the Data Management products and Connectivity solutions
* Raise competence level within HemoCue sales organisations and distributors to sell complex products and solutions
* Identify and drive initiatives to expand the HemoCue offering of Data Management products and Connectivity solutions as well as driving new relevant competitive business models with internal stakeholders and external partners
* Be the subject matter expert for global marketing in Data Management/Connectivity development projects or business development initiatives
* Manage Product Specialist Data Management in daily business and long term development
* Take part in the annual planning processes such as Strategic Plans, Budgets and Forecasts

Qualifications

* Marketing or Science degree (Master or Bachelor)
* Seasoned business oriented person with at least 5 years of international sales and/or marketing responsibility
* Deep understanding of how Data Management &  Connectivity influences and improves primary and secondary healthcare settings
* Strong commercial skills to combine technical opportunities with commercial/business opportunities
* Excellent understanding of user needs, the environment of use and regulatory requirements in the cross section of POCT diagnostics/Data Management & Connectivity/commercially viable business models
* Strong ability to formulate and sell concepts to internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written English communication skills to lead, train and cooperate in a multicultural and cross functional environment
* Result oriented, creative person with strong analytical skills
* Ability to manage team members and prioritize multiple projects, decisions and activities also in the absence of formal authority
* Understanding of how different healthcare IT systems work EMRs, OR LIS and HIS
* Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
* Must be able to travel 40-50 days per year 

It is important that you take individual responsibility and have a positive attitude towards your work and others e.g.

* Functional manager and Leading Team members
* Direct reporting staff and indirect reporting staff in multicultural DM team
* Lead cross functional team members in development teams
* Manage Key customers with IT/Workflow responsibility
* Building relations with Key opinion leaders within the area

The market is developing from stand alone instruments with a simple pay per test or instrument to Data Management Systems with Connectivity software. These include value added components providing customers with software solutions, storage solutions and results management. HemoCue has great potential to move up the value ladder by developing and offering competitive solutions. You will have excellent opportunities to guide and manage HemoCue’s development in this direction. In addition being part of Danaher, a successful $20 billion NYSE listed conglomerate, the right candidate may find longer term development opportunities beyond HemoCue.
