We’re now looking for a Global Business Reporting Specialist to support with the reporting and analytical needs, primarily, within the production area of our organization. Key performance areas
In this position, you’re responsible for the reporting and analytical needs within your area and secure them by creating, distributing, and maintaining business information. You find ways to increase business value by introducing efficient solutions to enable the organization to perform qualitative analysis, retrieve insights, as well as to support the process of making informed and fact-based decisions. You accomplish this by a true partnership with the business by identifying, analyzing, and responding to business opportunities.
To support and facilitate the data-driven approach and development of BI packages, you work in close relation with business representatives for your area where you’re responsible to carry out the communication and training related to the information provided. Monitoring and benchmarking of reporting usage and reporting lifecycle management are also some of your concerns, as is providing input into systems, platforms, and activities to support our strategy.
The location for this position is flexible, ideally within within Europe, and some international travel is part of your job. We truly are a global organization, so to maintain a high level and quality of work, you must be able to effectively collaborate and organize your work and ideas with colleagues and stakeholders via digital solutions.
Your background and profile
We’re looking for someone with a degree in IT, Statistics, Engineering or Mathematics with a few years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, and BI. You’re an advanced user in Power BI and associated coding solutions (Power Query and M formula language), with general understanding of relational databases such as SQL and ORACLE and their respective languages. Additionally, you have experience of data cubes and analysis services, and strong knowledge in services such as Power Automate for creating and maintaining automated workflows. Experience with DataBricks service is preferred as well as familiarity with obtaining data via SAP Business Warehouse and Azure. Knowledge and experience with processes and procedures relating to Sandvik Coromant production is highly desired. Fluency in English, both spoken and in writing, is required.
You’re a strong leader with good communication and organizational skills that serve as a liaison between the analytics team, stakeholders and IT. Along with your genuine interest in data analytics, reporting, and BI, you have a passion to continuously learn and develop which enables you to take p. You naturally take initiative and suggest new opportunities to enhance your areas of responsibility. Being result-oriented you have a strong desire to exceed customer expectations. Problem solving and taking on challenges is in your nature and your structured mindset and ability to take full ownership for your assignments ensures great results and consistent delivery.
