Key performance areas
The main mission for the Global Category Manager Real Estate & Facility Management (REFM) is to optimize and develop the performance (right quality, on time at the lowest total cost) of all indirect suppliers belonging to the Global Category REFM, who deliver products and services to the Sandvik BAs, PUs and diverse sites globally. As Global Category Manager you will have full responsibility within the REFM category, to identify and implement savings related to purchased products and services, and thereby, in a transparent way, improve the profits of the BAs and PUs/sites. Furthermore, you will establish policies and guidelines within the areas of responsibility and implement the same. The success factor is to manage the global Sandvik stakeholders' need for supplier interaction with the development of "business-minded" working methods within the Indirect Purchasing process and its staff, leading to excellent performance from the external supplier market.
The position involves traveling 25-50% of the time.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant field such as supply chain, finance, law, management, etc. or the equivalent working experience. You have at least five years' experience from management in an international purchasing organization and from global/regional Category Management. Alternatively, you have at least three years of above mentioned experience in combination with a minimum of two years with RE project execution or two years on "supplier side".
You have in-depth knowledge of the Real Estate/Facility Management category, including technical and market knowledge, combined with hands-on work experience handling project purchases for greenfield and brownfield investments and the tendering & contracting process therein. You have a strong customer focus, are result oriented, and know how to build effective, global teams. The position as Manager places major demands on your leadership skills. You are perceptive and easily create a trusting environment for collaboration, while inspiring and motivating your co-workers to create team spirit and enthusiasm in order to reach the business' goals. You are also interested in developing both the business and your co-workers and have the ability to implement change.
