Do you speak the language of IT services and software solutions, and want to make an impact on our business? If so, that’s a perfect combination for this position within IT Sourcing part of Sandvik Infrastructure and Technology Services.
To be more specific, we’re looking for a Global Category Manager to take responsibility for the sourcing projects in our IT solutions. We need the best people with different backgrounds and experiences, all in the right place – providing Sandvik with IT infrastructure, systems and business critical solutions – to actually make this work. Your mission
In this position, you lead, develop and implement the global category strategies for IT. You help us achieve our strategic goal by executing sourcing projects by evaluating, selecting, negotiating and contracting suppliers – all in close cooperation with key stakeholders. Another important mission of yours is to carry out productivity improvements and cost reductions and, you lead and participate in Supplier Relationship Management activities. In addition, you establish great relationships with key stakeholders and supplier – helping us staying two steps ahead and reaching our goals!
The preferred location is in Sandviken although, Kista is also an option. However, we expect your presence in Sandviken at least a few days per week.
Your skills and profile
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Business Administration, Economy or Logistics, or equivalent experience gained from a working career. You have extensive experience from strategic IT sourcing or professional services, as well as from category management within an industrial environment. In this role, you also need knowledge of strategic international negotiations and a strong business acumen. Working in a global environment calls for good skills in English, while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
