We value personal qualities, diversity, and team spirit and you will be globally responsible for maximizing business value through your global category team with English as the primary language for written and spoken communication. Your main task is to secure procurement strategies and deliveries aligned with company ambitions with a focus on cost, resilience, and sustainability. This position will be part of our Digital & Corporate Services management team and together with your colleagues drive the procurement transformation in our section.
We are looking for an experienced leader to navigate our global category team of super talented buyers and that has the global responsibility for all procurement of Marketing and sales where the focused areas are e.g. media, creative, experiential & aftersales. 
Ultimately, it's all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo as well as our internal organization. 

Your key tasks

-    Globally accountable for end-to-end deliveries in the global category team including Strategy, Supplier portfolio, and Sourcing 
-    Own and prioritizes the global category team backlog and secure and maximize business value through the whole lifecycle
-    Distribute workload among the global category team members
-    Dare to question status quo or decided routes with stakeholders, suppliers, people, and work proactively to build a better understanding and work towards common solutions
-    Ensure that all decisions and deliverables of the global category team are conforming with the company´s sustainability targets
-    Be the first point of escalation for the global category team members regarding deliveries
-    Provide data transparency to all stakeholders about the deliverables of my category team

Do you fit the profile?

You lead your category team with confidence and build strong collaborative relations by easily gaining the trust of others. Complex and uncertain environments are something you thrive in, and even when the way forward is not clear and under tough circumstances, you skillfully balance the interests of many and address difficult issues with a focus on maximizing procurement deliveries. 
You have experience in leading procurement teams and doing business in an international environment with global suppliers where strong business acumen is a prerequisite. You have knowledge and experience in the area of Marketing & Sales and driving transformational activities. You are used to anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and possess the ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. 
You have a university degree or equivalent experience and automotive experience is an advantage but not mandatory. There will be some need for global business travel.
