What’s in it for you?
The Global Commercial Competence Development department is a knowledge provider in the areas of Product Offer, Used Cars and Fleet Operations and introduces new employees into the history and brand of Volvo Cars. Our target audience are retailer employees with a commercial profile and competence teams in the NSC’s and Importers. We give global direction to the regions to adapt our messages to local needs and standards.
We’re constantly looking for the information exchange method that fits the purpose in the best possible way: e-learnings, advanced URL solutions, face-to-face events, streamed events, and others. The idea behind, is that our target audience shouldn’t be pushed towards training fulfilment but pulled towards job certification.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a committed and passionate person to join the team in the role as Global Commercial Competence Development Training developer and Job Certification specialist. As dedicated interface, you develop globally adaptable commercial and business-related trainings and assessments for the Regions and its Markets and this in full alignment with global competence needs and priorities. In addition, you will have continuous interaction with other stakeholders within the organization.
You will join a highly interesting area with a large business scope; an area that secures profitable and efficient omni-channel development and drives future oriented premium consumer experience in support of our retailers.
Main responsibilities
* Collect Region & Market needs and translate into hands-on, easy accessible, globally applicable, pull-oriented and short & crispy trainings and assessments with high added value
* Supervise full alignment between training programs and the process steps of Volvo Cars’ consumer journey
* Adapt the training portfolio to Volvo’s Retailer 2025 Strategy
* Coordinate competence projects
* Support competence activities
* Support in establishing a viable competence setup to support the value chain efficiency which drives customer loyalty and business offer optimization with the sales companies and its retailers
* Covering National Sales Company (NSC) and importer issues
Do you fit the profile?
More than 3 years’ experience as a commercial trainer or product specialist with training experience
Proven skills within Competence or Product Development
Experience with training programs adapted to market needs and aligned with OEM priorities
Volvo Car or other car brand NSC experience very appreciated; understanding retailer and NSC processes
Project Management skills and experience from working with external relationships
Fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of other frequently spoken languages are an advantage

You have a high level of integrity and professionalism and are keen to take ownership in your areas of expertise. You are structured and result oriented and have a strong personal drive to get things done in a correct way on time. You are comfortable working independently but at the same time you have cross-functional and integrated work experience with high ability to cooperate and work in an international team environment. Strong prioritization skills will be an asset in this role as well as finding new ways and always looking for smart initiatives to increase customer satisfaction.
