You will be strategically responsible for your commodity and support our project and operational buyers around the globe. You are part of projects to identify and implement cost efficiency opportunities. The position of Global Commodity Buyer Springs, Fasteners, Specialty Connectors and Catalogue Parts is a crucial role in Kongsberg Automotive. Your focus is to find, entertain and manage preferred suppliers in accordance with operational requirements, purchasing policies and objectives. You will work closely to Kongsberg Automotive R&D to align future needs and supplier base. You will be responsible for ensuring to develop long term continuous improvement supplier relationships. Facilitating the development and management of a supply base that is capable of meeting the future growth demands of the company and the market.

As person you must be business driven and result oriented with negotiation experience.

Candidate Profile
. Bachelor or Master degree
. Minimum 3 years strategic purchasing experience in the automotive industry preferably with a knowledge or background in the springs and fasteners commodities.
. Demonstrated ability to negotiate successfully and develop strong business relationships and
strategic alliances
. Highly communicative, convincing and influencing
. Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships both internally and externally, at all levels
. Outgoing and committed team player with a strong drive and flexible attitude
. Energetic, enthusiastic, eager and open minded
. Comfortable in a rapidly changing and demanding organization
. Analytical skills
. Mobile and ready to travel international
. Fluent in English
