Global Commodity Manager

We are looking for a Global Commodity Manager for direct material with good knowledge and experienced of leading commodities within electronics. Your role
Global Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and drive the commodity strategy and take full responsible for the supplier base within the commodity, ensuring that the right suppliers are used throughout Stoneridge. Overall commercial responsibility of the commodity spend and relevant Key Performance Indicators connected to the area of responsibility (commodities). Organize and establish the Global Commodity Teams including key stakeholders. You report to the Director of Global Commodity Strategies and the position is placed in Stockholm or Örebro.

Tasks and responsibillities:

• Create and maintain Commodity Strategy and plans for implementation.
• Be steps ahead of global commodity trends to assure that the company always has a differentiated and optimal supplier base solution
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to position the company as the market leader in its chosen commodity strategies.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to separate the competitiveness of developing existing and create/establish new commodity strategy.
• Establish short-and long-range strategies, plans and objectives which fit within the broader business plan and strategy of the procurement organization.
• Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the commodity.
• Keep ahead of industry technology trends along with the company’s products and market position to assure optimal commodity strategies.
• Works closely with project sourcing to support commercialized products are ready for launch while meeting all cost and quality standards

Experience and skills required:
We are searching for an experienced Global Commodity Manager with minimum five (5) years in leading Commodities within the manufacturing industry, preferably automotive industry, OEM and handling 1st Tier supplier. Provide Commodity Management Excellence in global procurement organization, including locations such as Sweden, USA, Mexico, China, Europe, and India. You have proven experience in establishing global commodity strategy teams and global commodity strategies including leveraging low-cost solutions with high results. Demonstrated success of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders. Furthermore, you have outstanding negotiation skills, and are confident to lead all sorts of escalated commercial issues on the company’s behalf. A Master’s degree in Business or Engineering discipline is strongly preferred.

As a Global Commodity Manager, you are familiar with motivating, engaging, energizing and managing a complex commodity teams located in multiple geographical locations with diverse cultures. You have experience working in both direct and matrix management environments and excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

You can drive accountability and high levels of performance throughout the team and influence the people around you. You have strong analytical skills, with great planning and problem-solving abilities and is a strategic thinker with a strong sense of the importance of tactical execution.
