HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
Hitachi Energy HVDC is seeking a Global Competence Development Manager. Your will lead, ideas and contribution as Global Competence Manager will be essential for our Competence Development within the organization. This for us to be ready for tomorrow competence and digitalization development need. To bring the global competence and skills development within Hitachi Energy HVDC.
With your attentive leadership, strategic mindset and interest to engage in people you will at a global level act as driver for Competence Development within HVDC. You will also with your experience in digital learning work with and develop methods to re-skill and up-skill our employees

Your responsibilities
Continuously bench towards market to be updated on latest trends within field to influence changes for improvements
High engagement and collaboration with managers and specialists
Drive HVDC Talent Program
Responsible of HVDC Manager introduction and on boarding program
Develop digital learning methods to re-skill and up-skill our employees together with team
Identify potential tools and processes to support our strategy - such as digital knowledge sharing and development of digital learning and social learning
Take part of competence development initiatives within the organization - both triggered from the organization as well as own identified needs we need to meet
Participate and implement Transfer of Knowledge & Competence development strategies
Have an overview of the competencies within HVDC and streamline competence development initiatives
Your background
You hold a university degree in behavior science, or build up knowledge within area
Work with ease with highly divers and global context
Experience within the field of competence development and/or strategic work
Strong, well-developed communication, coaching and leadership skills
As person you have interest in development and people. You are organized, accurate and have a solution set mind with high change adaptability and strategic thinking
Fluency in English – both spoken and written
