Volvo has high ambitions to develop new engines that supports new and coming CO2 neutral fuels!

The A&G (Combustion Air&Gas system) group is responsible to develop several components and sub-systems for the heavy-duty engine platform. Together with colleagues around the world, you will create innovative human-centric transport solutions with low environmental impact and high customer value.


This is what you will be doing
As Global Component Responsible (GCR) you will lead the development of your A&G component(s) globally (i.e EGR valve, EGR-cooler, exhaust break and air valves). You are responsible for the complete lifecycle of your components on our heavy duty engine platform. You will take full product ownership of your components from “cradle to grave” and is also expected to take responsibility of how your component(s) are controlled and diagnosed in the engine system. You will present component recommendations, roadmaps and strategies in different management and engineering forums. You will also lead development activities with stakeholders from different technical disciplines and from different cultures.

In addition to the above, aspects that are considered as merits to us are:
• Good understanding of engine development and the engine system
• At least B.Sc. or similar technical knowledge
• Preferable some years of experience in product development
• You enjoy working with Agile SAFe methods and are familiar with the tool JIRA
