The Role
As Global Component Responsible, you will take place on an exciting change journey and join Electric Motor Drive team in Power Conversion at Electromobility department. you play a pragmatic role in developing Electrical hardware and electric motor drive system with the stakeholder in focus in an ever-changing environment. You will be working along with highly skilled engineers and interact within internal and external partners. In this role you will specify the technical requirements, choose supplier solutions, and secure the industrialization and maintenance of the solution together with a cross-functional team within Volvo. You will work with our suppliers to secure the deliveries by managing the work distribution and making sure to meet the needs of our customers and application. Together with the team you will work actively on the features in the JIRA backlog during the Program Increment.
Your major responsibilities would look like the following:
To provide the Volvo Group with process support and expertise within the competence area
To conduct development work with suppliers and technology partners
To participate and provide technical results in product development projects
To contribute to process planning
To arrange solutions and prepare requirement and documents
To provide and conduct test plan and time plan
To support junior engineers within the technical area, coaching them within process
To work cross functional with both internal and external suppliers with high respected personality
To succeed in this role, you will require
At least 3 years of experience in automotive product development.
Experience in electrical hardware development, specifically in the area of electric motor drives and electromobility.
Solid experience from working with JIRA, KOLA, PTM, PHOENIX, DimRM or similar tools, EDAIR, PPAP, PAA and process tools
Solid experience in TR (technical requirement) driven development by suppliers
Experience from working with internal stakeholders and project managers
Experience from working with supplier
Experience from working with agile development principles
Ambitious to collaborate with people in developing technical tasks
Experience/knowledge of automotive standards,
Fluent in spoken and written English
Meriting:
Experience from heavy duty truck applications and vehicle integration
Educational Requirements
M.Sc. or higher degree in Power Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Physics
