Fluid Management is one of the design groups in the section responsible for Base Engine system. We have the global responsibility for the Fluid Management system within Volvo Group Heavy duty engine range. The team consists of 17 team members. We work in close cooperation with the Base Engine development teams and the Combustion teams to develop complete engine solutions that are in front line when it comes to fuel efficiency and emission fulfilment. We are responsible for the whole life cycle from advanced engineering to product care. Examples of components within the Fluids Management team are; Cooling pump, Oil pump, Oil filter modules, Oil cooler, Oil valves, Thermostats and Housings, CCV, Oil pipes and tubes, Coolant pipes and Engine heater. We also have the responsibility to deliver a good lubrication and cooling for the complete engine and all other consumers.

We are looking for Global Component Responsible for Pipes/Hoses and Castings within the Fluid Management team. As Global Component responsible you will be the responsible in a cross functional team that consist of, function developers, CFD/FME calculation engineers, CAD Engineers, test engineers, purchasing and suppliers. Your responsibility is to develop, verify and validate system and components to well defined targets. You are partly responsible to secure that competence and skills within our area is maintained by keeping yourself and the team updated on latest progress with in your area of expertise. Work will require a broad network both within and outside product development.

Main Responsibilities
Define and create technical specifications for system and components.
Create verification plans, initiate CAD modelling, CFD/FEM calculations and testing.
Evaluate technical solutions and intimate development (internal or at suppliers).
Be responsible for technical documentation and that we document according to project requirements. You will attend on project meetings, APQP and supplier meetings.
Be responsible for follow up and to report back verification activities. You will analyse field issues.

Required Skills
Project management competence, Volvo process competence & general Base Engine competence is an advantage
Ability to understand complex structures/root causes and transform them to understandable project scopes in line with information architecture and process development principles in GTT

Requested Qualifications
Master University degree or similar with a minimum of 2 years as Component responsible.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required
