IKEA Customs Coordination Centre (CCC) is a central function of the Inter IKEA Group that handles and coordinates international custom- and trade issues. CCC’s main function is to, in a strategic perspective, handle, support and co-ordinate customs and trade related matters for IKEA globally.
Job Description
As a Global Customs Coordinator you will be working with customs classification of the IKEA range. The work offers you different tasks like support, administration and development – of both routines as well as IT-systems. With your sharp eye and thorough way of working you´ll be securing that we are having the correct tariffs on all our products. You will get a deep understanding of the IKEA processes. In your everyday work there are lots of contacts with people from IKEA and authorities all over the world, which will give you a very good view of our range and development. In this role you will be able to have a job with a lot of variation as well as width.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a background from trade or logistics and have good capability in customs or shipping based on previous work experience. You have appropriate training within the area of logistics or trade. As a person you thrive by working in an independent and self-driving way and you are eager to learn. You are strongly persistent and are motivated by and put pride in securing that all information are correctly handled and at right place. You know how to create a good understanding about classifications of products like tariffs, free trade agreements and country of origin, in a communicative way. Many different functions at IKEA of Sweden need support in customs related questions and therefore you need to have the ability to create clarity, build and maintain networks as well as have confidence in public speaking. You need to have an analytical mind set and a natural curiosity to seek information. For us at IKEA, the most important thing is that you share our values. Values like leadership by example and that you are constantly being on the way with a cost-conscious mind set. Your skills in English are very good, both spoken and written.
