Global Customs Expert

At Polestar we are on a truly exiting journey, accelerating our plans and working together in a fast-paced global environment. We are now looking for a Customs Expert to join our global Quality and Logistics team.

In this role you will provide input that will support the future development of Polestar and you will be a part of our team that has high expectations placed on it, and we recognize the value that customs can bring to the business. We therefore provide an environment where you will be exposed to apply all your expert knowledge to make a real difference.

You will be working close to the Global Customs and Export Controls function within Volvo Cars. This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.



What you’ll do

As our very first Customs Expert you will be the voice of Customs and Trade within Polestar and it will be up to you to network with the relevant people and functions to create understanding of abilities.

You will be leading and driving customs’ projects and initiatives on a global level; You will spend time on future development and along the way identify, develop, and execute business cases. You will be the speaking partner providing customs input into car programs, product development, logistics flows etc. You will be a key driver in developing and driving the strategy within our organization and work with customs compliance on a corporate level.

You are passionate, dedicated and drive activity to result. Your ability to balance stakeholders, engage and drive decisions outside your own authority will be essential for a success in this role.

To be a great fit for this position we consider it important that you:

- Have several years of experience in international Trade Advisory. Either as a consultant or in-house where you have a track record of identifying value propositions and turning them into real value.
- Can bring understanding of the global customs’ process (supply chain, duty methodologies, import/export, valuation, classification, origin etc.) and a demonstrated use of those skills in enabling business operations.
