Sandvik Coromant is looking for an organized, networking, and self-motivated Global Inventory, Supply and Demand Planner to join the planning team for Tools. We’re on an exciting transformation journey where analytics and development are key elements and new ways of working forms the future. Your mission
In this position, you provide us with important insights, accurate information, and fact-based reports to support decision-making when it comes to planning of inventory and supply. Performing investigations and studies, you drive different development activities and -projects that supports us in creating a leaner, more efficient global supply chain. By monitoring and optimizing global stock in our distribution center network, you ensure best-in-class stock control and inventory levels of our products and are a key player in delivering plans and scenarios for short and mid-term time horizons. You also act as the main point of contact for our manufacturing units regarding supply planning, systems, processes as well as other issues related to our products. You offer your competent support in planning, setting, and agreeing on reliable production plans, and help us remain successful by taking an active role in the work to improve Net Working Capital and service through stock availability. Furthermore, you participate in the demand planning process by preparing forecasts based on statistical review and close interaction with other functions within Coromant.
By planning and following up on inventory and production volume on an 18-month rolling time horizon, you find ways to optimize our supply paths in collaboration with other parts of the organization. You support the handling of our products life cycles and footprint changes within the planning area, which includes scenarios for ramp-ups, introductions, and phase-outs of our products. In collaboration with the rest of the team, you use your knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm to take part in the continuous improvement work around Supply Chain Planning and contribute to developing our next generation planning solutions based on our new platform.
You’re seated in Sandviken, and we offer great flexibility when it comes to working remotely. Some global travel is normally included in the job.


Your profile
We’re looking for a Supply Chain professional with hands-on experience from supply chain and S&OP planning, as well as materials management and inventory control. We believe you have experience of working in a similar environment. An additional background from leading projects within change management as well as experience from digitalization projects within supply chain is also desirable. You know how to handle different scenarios and changes, especially when it comes to lead time, EOQ and safety stocks. You’re an expert user of modern ERP systems and you manage Excel and Access comfortably. We believe that you hold a university degree in the supply chain or logistics area, and, as we act on the global arena, you also need to be fluent in written and verbal English.
