Sandvik Mining and Construction is looking for Global Director Freight Management Description The Director, Freight Management is responsible for setting up, maintaining and developing all Sandvik Mining and Constructions s (SMC's) Finished Goods transportation solutions.The responsibility includes contract management and the overall focus is to deliver the required service at the lowest cost possible. Key performance areas * Supplier selection, development, deletion and contract management together with VP Logistics * Implementation and development of global transport solutions * Performance reporting * Analysis and corrective actions * Active participation in all SMC's Logistics projects * Owner of the Outbound Control Tower solution which is under development * Leads the Global Freight Management Team The position reports to VP Logistics and will have extensive internal and external contacts.The position will be placed in Dublin, Sandviken or Tampere. Your profile To be able to deliver we believe that the preferred candidate has a university degree preferably in logistics and minimum ten years of experience from management positions in international logistics.You have good negotiating skills with analytical ability.You are a good communicator and you are fluent in English.You have experience from working in complex matrix organizations.We preferably see that you have ability to travel and maybe if needed accept relocation.Since this is a new role we also wish for you to thrive on creating something new and to sell the processes around it internally.
