Mölnlycke is now looking for a Global Director – Manufacturing Digital Transformation to join the Global Operational Excellence team!
About the job:
The purpose of the position is to lead and drive process excellence within manufacturing related systems globally across all four Business Areas with the mission to drive harmonization & standards, provide trainings and share best practices.
In this role you will manage and drive the long term roadmap for the Manufacturing related digital systems towards Industry 4.0, improving manufacturing efficiency and productivity. You will be the Product owner of the relevant Manufacturing systems and own, prioratise and execute the digital enhancements leading a cross functional team. You will be working together with Leadership teams across all four Business Areas to understand their needs across manufacturing sites from a systems perspective.
Travel will be required on a frequent basis!
Within primary focus areas this role has the following key accountabilities:
Develop a roadmap by reviewing needs, evaluate options and provide recommendations on the digital transformation in manufacturing for our four Business areas.
Prepare business cases together with the local manufacturing sites, to be reviewed and prioritized by the business areas.
Challenge and recommend solutions and order of implementation/development, depending on the local sites individual maturity level.
Drive harmonization and secure scale and efficiency across the company within above mentioned areas of digital transformation.
Make regular process reviews to continuously improve and sustain agreed process
Provide relevant training to process users
Prepare, recommend & manage the Systems Roadmap, throughout the systems lifecycle.
Propose and decide priority of IT enhancements, ensure we limit the degree of customization
Drive upgrade programs when needed
Ownership of Data Model and structure in above mentioned systems, i.e reference model what information, format and in what system
What you’ll need…
We’re looking for an action-oriented, entrepreneurial, mission-driven and self-directed person with experience from operations management and especially driving digital transformation within manufacturing.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to demonstrate strong leadership with an ability to coach and to develop high-performance teams, develop and implement program strategies.
You’ll need to align execution: creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful and manage ambiguity: operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
You’ll need to have excellent capabilities to collaborate broadly with a culturally savy and to perform in a complex international networked environment, being a team player with good interpersonal skills, customer-oriented and with strong communication and persuasion skills.
You’ll need to ensure accountability: holding self and others accountable for meeting commitments, being an analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to teams’ key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
You’ll need to be credible at all levels: self-motivated and with high productivity and stamina, able to work under pressure and also adapting approach and behaviour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
Preferred background:
University degree in operations management, industrial engineering, Engineering or equivalent business areas MBA or post graduate education is a plus.
Deep experience working with manufacturing and related systems e.g SCADA, MES, e-DHR, WMS gained from implementation projects.
Experience from working within Manufacturing, Supply Chain and relevant ERP-systems
Strong knowledge of process development principles and practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience from working in medical device, health care industry is an advantage
