Global EHS Specialist

Global EHS Specialist

Arbetsbeskrivning

We talk about setting the industry standard and we’re both passionate and committed when it comes to health and safety, quality and sustainability. We play fair, build circularity and champion people, and together we make the shift towards a more sustainable world. This will become a major game changer when doing business and we aim to be the best of the best.
At Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, we’re not just talking about creating an activity plan - we want to build a strong culture that generates true value, and we want everyone onboard. Take a moment and listen to what our President has to say about it in this video.
For division Rock Tools, we’re now looking for an agile and open-minded EHS Specialist to join a small and dynamic team that makes a difference. We welcome you to this exciting journey where your will have the opportunity to truly influence our ways of working!
The mission - contribute to a safer workplace by increasing awareness and improving processes
As Global EHS Specialist, you work closely with the EHS community and department managers within Rock Tools as you support our business to take the next steps toward zero harm and a sustainable future. You lead in the development of our EHS management system, facilitate the continuous development of our procedures and promote the global EHS agenda and the roadmap that sets the scene for a safety-first culture and a healthy workplace. You drive different campaigns to get our entire organization to both understand and sign off on what it takes to walk in the forefront in this area. Driving EHS audits, managing our hazard and incident reporting and following up on actions are included in your area of responsibilities, and naturally, you contribute with your knowledge in projects across the organization.
In this position, you’ll be located in Sandviken or Stockholm, and you’re an active member of the division’s EHS team. You also act as coordinator and represent Rock Tools in Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology’s global EHS team.
Your experience is important, and your personality is key!
You have a solid background in leading and driving EHS matters and activities related to cultural change, know your way in EHS management systems and are experienced in systematic EHS and safety legislation. An engineering degree in the field of occupational health and safety, and environment, would be of relevance for this job, and it’s beneficial if you have experience from a global organization. Acting in an international, cross-country environment suits you very well, and your flexible and open-minded attitude is a great tool when facing people from different cultures. This means that you also need to be fluent in English, while we consider Swedish as beneficial.
Your passion to make a true impact helps you challenge us and look at new possible ways of working, and you’re convincing in your approach. You’re very skilled at motivating people and driving change through networks. Collaboration and support are your cornerstones, and you know what to prioritize and what connections you need to establish to achieve results. All in all, you’re a strategic initiator rather than someone who just manage existing structures.
