Let’s talk about the job
In this position, you’re responsible for improving the environmental and occupational health culture and performance within our organization to progress towards Sandvik’s 2030 sustainable business ambitions. You provide your expertise and advice in the area to our entire organization globally, and you act as a mentor to our EHS-professionals. Together with local EHS-personnel, you ensure that all facilities are in compliance with our procedures and requirements and you work in close collaboration with our communication functions to share information, both internally and externally. In addition, you also provide governance to ensure that accurate EHS data is provided by our sites to meet reporting deadlines. To make sure we stay two steps ahead, you monitor external trends and developments in your area and represent Sandvik where appropriate in all matters regarding environmental and occupational health.


The location for this position is flexible within Sweden, however, we prefer that you’re located in or close to Stockholm. Some travelling is normally part of your job, but due to the pandemic situation, we’re at the moment even more digital than usual.


Who you are?
We’re looking for someone with a relevant university degree, combined with several years’ experience within the environmental area. If you also have knowledge from the occupational health area as well as from the engineering, manufacturing or mining industries it’s a plus. Being both strategic and hands on enable you to see things from a broad perspective, and you challenge us in becoming best in class - both in our ways of working and our in our company culture. You’re skilled in Office 365 and, working in a truly global environment calls for good skills in English, while knowledge in Swedish is beneficial.


Your analytical and structured features are great tools in your everyday work to design and develop new processes and contribute to our strategic direction. A pedagogical way of presenting your ideas enables you to create an understanding in our business and really raise awareness on the importance of our EHS-work. Finally, you’re a true communicator who easily collaborates and builds strong, trusting relationships all over our global organization!
