To further strengthen our Global Employee Experience Department, we are searching for a Global Event Director.
What will you do?
The Global Event Director is in charge of global event strategic planning, designing, developing and executing global, regional and local digital and in-person events for our employees and Brand partners.
The Global Event Director is responsible to animate our global Oriflame event community, driving shared resource management and upskilling.
From creative conception to managing full execution through vendors according to requirements, target audience and objectives, the Global Event Director is responsible to ensure events vision and messaging for the following events:
· In-person and digital global conferences for our Brand Partners
· European and other regions events for our Brand Partners
· Global, European and other regions in-person and digital events for our employees
· Events for our Stockholm office employees
Main tasks will include:
· Manage planners, content developers, designers, creative services, and vendors to execute program vision and messaging.
· Manage budgets for events and follow up on billing payments and cross charges as needed.
· Understand all aspects of planning events/conferences to be able to manage entire programs.
· Deliver results on schedule and on budget.
· Identify, secure and manage additional support/needs for programs.
· Work with Procurement/Legal on vendor selection and contracting as needed.
· Provide timely communication & progress reports to the manager and the team involved.
· Lead a team and recruit new team members when needed to build an effective team.
Does this describe you?
· Skilled in project management
· Large experience from working with various types of events (digital and in-person) for different type of audience
· Creative skills for concept development of events
· Strong social and communication skills
· Problem-solving skills
· Ability and experience to plan events based on a cost and profitability perspective
· Knowledge of negotiation, procurement and vendor contract signing
· Experience and knowledge in sustainable events
· Experience working with registration solutions, various digital event tools and survey systems
Your background and your qualifications
· University graduate in Event management, Hospitality management, Project Management Meeting and Events, PR, marketing or related field is preferred
· More than 5 years’ work experience from an event agency, hospitality industry, sponsoring, communication agency, event production or related
· More than 5 years’ work experience in managing people and vendors
· Computer literacy.
· Fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages preferred as well.
